Capture Notes
These images was captured during a Milky Way imaging workshop led by Craig Wennersten (https://image10photographic.com/) for Mike’s Camera in Westcliffe, Colorado. We set up at Westcliffe Bluff & Summit Park facing, away from the evening’s rodeo activities and lights, toward the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
The images were captured with the Canon EOS 5DSR on the star tracker, which allows much longer exposures without star trailing. The image above shows some of the clouds that were in the area that evening, the image at the bottom of the page was right before the clouds ended our evening’s imaging – but with the stadium lights’ reflection adding an interesting element.
